I have trust issues with my car now!

Image
Dear Hyundai!!!  Lovely day I thought until I got into my car... So this past Sunday 6/28 in the morning I got in my car and voila!  the check engine light came on and the car wouldn’t start. It made a sound like it was trying but nothing started. I tried four times. I then got out of the car, hit the auto start remote button and the car started up. I  jumped in the car, put my key in the ignition and the car wouldn’t move. It's like it caught an attitude with me because it overheard me saying I prefer my gsxr to my car smh. But mood swing or not.. i'm still making car payments on this bad boy... so a check engine light is not funny. Thus the car wouldn't now turn off or move. I was puzzled  Meanwhile the horn, the radio, and headlights were all working. Weird right!  I then hit the remote auto start button while in the car and it turned the car off. Then I put the key into the ignition and it started up out of nowhere. I immediately drove to Auto Zone an...

So my pill popping, frozen peas, sleep for 12 hours days are numbered!

So my pill popping, frozen peas, sleep for 12 hours days are numbered! I'm officially on the road to recovery. Well I've been on it since I hurt my entire left lower body as of June 7th, then reinjured it on my bike ride June 11th. I have been in so much pain from my left ankle, up my calf, behind my knee, up the side of my thigh, wrapping around through the gluteus maximus to end at my left hip. And when I say pain, I don't mean, oh i did too many squats and I can shake it off in two days. I mean, pain reliever, bags of frozen peas, frozen water bottles (feel amazing on the calf and back of knee),  icy hot, bengay, tigerblam, turmeric oil (anti-inflammatory), muscle relaxer, tylenol, and ibruprofen have been my best friends for the past week and a half. But I am so happy that I jumped out of bed this morning and didn't tumble over into my armoire. Wheww.. I did that for sooo many days. I don't know if I'm more excited about my leg healing or the fact that I...

No time to be a tourist in Austin or enjoy the bike life... only Pain!

I commend folks who find the time to blog every day. Either their life is very exciting or they have absolutely no life! I wish I could share my life in such details.. i really think I should have my own reality show (sometimes). It is always an adventure with me. Recent adventure aka drama aka "Why me! moment". I got a "Free" trip to Austin, Tx for final interview rounds with this amazing company that I love using anyway. I was so excited because I always wanted to check Austin, Tx off my "visited" list, and I made it to the final interview rounds. My flight was for 650am Monday morning, my face felt sore but thought it was how I slept. I paid it no mind, popped my pain reliever med (for my strained muscle that was still healing) and a muscle relaxer (so I wouldn't catch a cramp or blood clot on the 3-4 hour flight).. I was on my way from EWR to Austin.  I got off the plane around 9 something and the meds worked, I was pain free. I wasn't running ...

Riding the Oranges and Apples

Long day at work. Not a hard day but just a long in regards to the time it felt like forever just to get to lunch time. But I was excited to get off of work because it was finally going to be a hot day without the rain that was sucking up earlier in the week. My baby  was locked up all week, so i was so happy to pull her out of the  garage. After meeting up with Rider M... meeting Rider T we rode to east orange then south orange. While he was running through South Orange I didn't realize how nice it was out there. I felt like a tourist. Fortunately rider m was leading so i didnt have to do much thinking just riding. The area was new to me...but im always up for riding and learning new areas. As we rode i had to laugh as the looks we were getting from people as if we were escorting the President lol. The stares, the pointing... lol hilarious. Wasnt sure if they were staring at our bikes or us. Im sure i wasnt looking my best but im sure the rhinestones on the bike warranted a s...

Winter blows but so does the rain...

I love warm weather... so much that if I had a job offer on the west coast I would sell everything on craigslist and get on the first flight out of here. Winter blows. You can't ride your bike, your car is constantly dirty from the snow/salt, everyone walks around all depressed because the only time we see the sun is when we're looking out our windows at work. You head to work and it's dark, you leave work and it's dark. You have so many layers on that even if you decided to ride your bike year round.. you would feel like a puff ball marshmallow! Well I do. Today was beautiful! It was 86 degrees! Burning up on my gsxr600 and loving how shiny it gleams when the sun hit it. I put up a craigslist ad looking for another biker to ride with on whatever days our schedules match up and got a huge amount of responses. I was so relieved to see that I wasn't the only one that was looking for someone to ride short distance with and just shoot the breeze with. Unfortunately, s...
